Lake of the Springs and Visiting

We used the dump station at the Elks Lodge in Redding and were on the road at 9 AM.

144 miles today. Check engine light still on. And we caught a rock in the front windshield. Now while we are visiting relatives in Oroville, I will get both items taken care of.

Checked into the Thousand Trails Preserve, Lake of the Springs just after 12 noon.

They have many loops, but loop X is the only one with all hookups. We need to do laundry so we really wanted a sewer hookup too. We cruised through the X loop, and there was only 1 spot available. Cool! We took it. Space X35.

We got set up with no issues. Even getting the Dish Network dish aimed, worked surprisingly good. I was wondering because of the many trees around here. The further south we go, the higher in the sky the satellite is and easier to find.

I wandered around the park to check it out while Donna started some laundry.

This place is pretty big, and lots to do.

Saw lots of deer, turkeys, and squirrels.

One of the shower/bath houses by the pool.

Swimming, boating, fishing in Lake Mildred on the preserve.

You can rent boats here at the dock.

Mini golf too.

The clubhouse, Rec room, adult area, dining room. Seems like there are activities going on everyday.

The adult 'play room'.

I think these plants are really neat. Kinda like giant wheat.

Left side is TT offices, where they try and talk you into upgrading your membership. We already have a good one. Left side is the Trading Post (General Store).
