From PA, we traveled 210 miles to the Fountain of Life Church in Newburgh, NY. This was a Harvest Host one night boondocking stop-over. The church was not open this Wednesday, so we had a nice quiet place to stay, and got to put the New York sticker on our USA travel map.
Then we went to an Elks Lodge in Putnam, Connecticut. It was a 153 mile drive day and we were the only ones there. We spent 2 days boondocking in their parking lot. And another new state sticker for us!
While here in CT, we drove down to Mystic, CT and explored the Mystic Seaport. Our bucket list item was to have some pizza at Mystic Pizza. We had a really nice day. Except for a 4 hour stop on Interstate 95 where a Gas Truck overturned and shutdown the Interstate. It was agonizing being stuck for 4 hours at a stop, but our heart goes out to the poor fellow who died in the accident. We finally made it home. We had a good day!
Then we went to a farm. This was our first farm visit through Harvest Hosts. It was the Cedar Valley Farm in Exeter, Rhode Island. One boondocking night there, and another state sticker. And this move day was just 38 miles. Really nice for a change. We had a nice tour of the farm. Not much growing this time of year, but lots of animals. Pretty cool little operation.
Then we had a goofy day. We travelled 60 miles to an Elks Lodge in Taunton, Massachusetts because their web site said they have a large parking lot and even had 2 E & W hookups, RVs welcome... but after arriving, and setting up,

We were told the local police will tell us to move along. No RV parking! Rats! We were only 29 miles from Plymouth Rock, and I wanted to take Donna there to see it. I saw it years ago and I know it isn't much, but it was the plan we had.
Plan B happened and we went on another 60 miles to another Elks lodge in Auburn, MA. Once again, we are the only ones there. We spent just one day boondocking there and added the Massachusetts sticker to our map.

After one night in MA, we headed north once again and 85 miles later, we were in New Hampshire. We are staying at Tuxbury Pond RV Campground, a Trails Collection campground, and will stay here for 8 days.

We are staying a little longer here so we can do and see a few things around here. Today, we visited Salem, MA and checked out the famous 'witch' town.
