Our Time in Washington is Winding Down - Tall Chief RV Park, Fall City, WA - October 5, 2022

After being in the Yakima RV Park for 88 days, and only working at fire camp for 9 of those days, we left the park and moochdocked at our Son-In-Law's folks house in Yakima for 9 days.

While we parked our RV, we stayed at Kim's house and watched Ally & Jessie while Chris & Kim went on an Alaskan cruise. They had a great time, and we had fun with the kids too.

After they got back, we said our goodbyes and moved to the Crescent Bar Thousand Trails park near Quincy, WA.

While there, we just de-compressed and decided to clean out the RV to prepare for our winter trip south. We got a mini-storage in Ephrata and moved a lot of stuff there. We now have a 5 x 5 storage in WA, and a 10 x 10 in Yuma.

We are still watching the market and hoping to find a good deal on some land somewhere for a home-base. But I am planning to do some serious traveling this winter.

After just 4 days at Crescent Bar, we headed over the mountains to the western side of Washington. We parked at the Thunderbird Thousand Trails park near Monroe. The place was really pretty empty.

We stayed here for 11 days. While in this area, we have visited our son Tim & family several times. We enjoy watching Ryker's soccer games.

Then we moved on to the Tall Chief RV Park near Fall City, WA.

We are doing 2 weeks here. While here, I had a birthday. A big one. Yep, 70 years old now. Dang! Oh well, you're only as old as you feel. And I feel great!

I did trade in my acoustic guitar for an electric one. It is easier to play and I continue to progress in my playing skills.

We all went out to dinner for my birthday. Had a great time.

Getting old isn't so bad.....

Heading southward real soon.

The Fergs out .......

  1. Some RVers seem to be settling in the Williams and Showlow/Concho areas of Arizona, buying land cheap. In Williams there is no power, but power is available in Showlow. Sewers can be put in anywhere and in both places they put in water tanks and have delivery.
