Yes, Gas prices suck. The most I paid to put diesel in my truck was $6.39 a gallon. We have just been hanging out, enjoying some family time with our daughter and family, waiting to be called out for work at the California wildfire camps. For the month of July, we did not put any fuel in our truck. Yep....just hanging out.
We have been doing quite a bit of stuff with our Grand-daughters Ally & Jessi.
And I did finish up our Solar/Inverter/batteries job.
One day our Grand-daughter Ally had her 4th birthday here at a nice local park. Our Daughter Candy and our Son Tim & family (with Grandsons Roman & Ryker) all came to the party. Along with our Grand Daughter-in-law Elizabeth and our Great Great Grandson Elijah. Also our Grandson Chase came too. Ally had a great day!
Then Jessi had her 2nd birthday party at our place. Fun Fun Fun.
Our Grand-daughters Ally & Jessi come over quite often and we cool off in this hot weather with the water table and pool.
Donna & I got a new grill. It is a Blackstone Griddle. It is a 22 inch 2 burner griddle and makes some Great food. Here is one of our sheet pan dinners.
Then on August 1st, I got called to go to work. Donna decided to stay at home and take care of Lucy (our cat) while I go have fun and restock our coffers. The fire was the McKinney fire and the fire camp was at the fairgrounds in Yreka, California. The doggone firefighters got it under control sooner than expected and I was only out for 9 days. But it is all good and it was fun too. I was the fueler and kept the generators running 24/7 with diesel.

The California fire season seems to be not as bad as expected this year. If I don't get called out by September 6th, we are going to call it a year and start travelling again.
