Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, Whitehall, MT - August 28, 2017

After a two day stop here at the 'Center of the Universe'

it was time to move down the road. But not before enjoying the City Limits Brewpub.

We had a long drive to do, 273 miles, mostly all on Interstate 90.

We headed up and over Lookout Pass

and into Montana. It was a good travel day, just a little smoky.

Our destination was Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park near Whitehall, MT.

We arrived on a Friday about 1 PM.

We chose a little pull through spot and paid $34.00 a night for 50 amp electrical. We also hit the dump station when entering to fill up our fresh water tank. Glad we had electricity, it was getting pretty hot here. We are doing 4 nights here and plan on taking the cavern tour later on. The only bummer was very little cell signal/internet.

This is what the park looks like.

Today, we took the cavern tour. It was $12.00 each for the 2 hour tour. Our tour guide was Ben. He did a great job.

It started off with a 3/4 mile hike up to the cave entrance. It was getting pretty warm out and we had some great views while walking up.

That's our campground way down there.

Then Ben began the guided tour of the caverns.

Here are my pictures of the trip.

Lots of stairs, stooping, ducking, and sliding.

We really enjoyed it, but were ready to get back to the rig, and the AC.

Tomorrow we are off to Yellowstone.

Fergs .... out!
