Ohio Turnpike Service Area - September 4, 2014

We are heading West again. For a little ways this time. We left Kenisee Lake in Jefferson, OH this morning.

Yesterday I took the truck into Ashtabula to a Chevy dealership to get some service. It was oil changing time. They also added 4 gallons of DEF and a new air filter also. We should be good till we get to Arizona.

Tomorrow we will arrive at St Clair, MI. And.... tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary of us hitting the road. We have been in our RV full time since July 2012. Since then, I retired and we are nomads now. I have been getting together some '1 year on the road' stats for a nice write-up. I'll see if I can get it up-loaded tomorrow.

We traveled 160 miles today and decided to stop at one of the Ohio Turnpike Service Areas. On our way East, we stopped at one for the night and parked with the trucks. This time, since it is 90 degrees, we opted for some electricity. We parked in the real RV parking area. Paid our $20.00 and now have a good 50 Amp connection and the air is on!

The drive today through Cleveland wasn't too bad. Tomorrow we go through Toledo and then Detroit. We will try to time it so the traffic won't be too heavy.

Here is our spot for this night.

You can see our Tailgator sitting under the rig......The Seahawks play the Packers tonight!

Go Hawks!
