After 2 weeks in the RV park in Yuma, we packed it all up and headed north 75 miles and found our favorite boondocking spot at the La Posa Souh LTVA.
We paid our $40.00 and will stay here for about 17 days or so. We were going to have a 3 night stay because we had a meetup with some old friends Sunday night. We met up with Dianne & Steve, and Ruth & Dale, who we all met at a rally in 2012.

It was good to catch up around the campfire.
Then after our 3 night stay, we headed back to the Yuma area because Donna had to pick up her new glasses at Sam's Club, and I had doctor appointments for the next 3 days. We didn't want to have to drive back and forth 3 days in a row. And it is always nice to have our house with us.
We parked just north of Yuma, along highway 95, at the Yuma VFW Post 8242. It is BLM land right next door and RVs can boondock there for free.
Donna got her glasses, and I took care of my doctor appointments. But while we were there, we started having trouble with our solar charge controller. I noticed that our batteries were not charging back up to 100% like they normally do everyday. My Victron battery monitor
showed charging sometimes, and sometimes not. My Renogy charge controller
had errors showing overcharged batteries. No, voltage showed that was not the case. Then it would clear, work for 10 minutes or so, then quit again. Acting pretty goofy. We did start using our generator a few times. So I decided to replace it with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50.
I ordered one through Amazon and we should get it (at an Amazon Hub in Blythe) tomorrow.
So after just 2 nights at the VFW, back to Quartzsite we went. Back to our 'spot'.
This morning, I fixed the sagging floor on the end of our big (living room) slide. With a 2x4 to brace the top, Gorilla Wood Glue, and lots of screws, the sag is gone.
Just some caulking and carpeting to do, then when we are back in Yuma in a few weeks, I plan on installing a slide ski on both ends.
The Fergs out .......
Good to see that you got together with some of the gang! We are going to miss the desert this year, hope you enjoy the sun and warm weather.
