Yuma to Quartzsite - January 5 to January 7, 2016

Happy anniversary (42 years) to my wonderful bride today. And it's moving day.

We said our goodbyes and paid our electric bill. $81.00 for the last month (at $0.15 per Kw Hr). I was happy with that.

We took a short cut from Tacna to Highway 95. We didn't have to climb the hill into Yuma and went around. It was a 13 mile short cut saving us about 10 miles. The road was paved 2 lane through an agricultual area. Now the problem was that it had been raining lately, and the harvest continued. The road was pretty muddy. Too late, we are in it.

As we arrived in the La Posa LTVA area just south of Quartzsite, I found a good spot near our fellow RV Dreamer friends,

and then saw our Jeep. What a muddy mess!

And of course, no car washes in Q. I filled several gallon jugs at the water fill-up area and kinda got her cleaned up. I guess the short cut wasn't such a good idea after all.

We are parked with 5 other Dreamer's rigs.

Cold and a little rainy, but one evening, Lee & Trace held a 'Happy Hour' at their place.

Here are the pics I took. Check out their blogs (or Facebook) for their pictures.

and Ellen & Mario showed up also.

Good times.

Here is a cool cactus I saw during one of my walks. Big bird nest in it.

Thursday, the 7th, it was time to move on over to Plomosa Road to get setup for our Christian Fellowship rally. Nine days there, then we will be back to La Posa South.

At Plomosa Road.

Next post, from the Christian Fellowship Rally.
