Christian Fellowship Rally in the Desert - January 8 to January 16, 2016

We lifted jacks and left our RV Dreamer friends at La Posa South, and headed north 12 miles to our Rally site off Plomosa Road.

We got parked and got our solar panels up.

There was just one other rig there. Donna and I are hosting this Christian Fellowship rally. We are an Escapees BoF (Birds of a Feather) group.

For the next nine days we will have 21 rigs here, with 38 members, with their pets too.

It was a great time of praising God and fellowship.

We had morning devotions, and campfires almost every night.

Marshmallow and s'mores.

A hot dog night.

Here is our birthday girl. Happy birthday Karen.

Oh yes. Potlucks too!

We all headed over to the Escapees National Happy Hour one day. We had to make sure we were there for the group picture. I'll post it when it comes out.

Campfires are sooo... cool at night.

On Thursday, we served a bisquits and gravy breakfast to the Solo group parked just west of us. We fed over 60 of them. It was great!

We also had a brown bag auction. This is where you bring something to auction off. All proceeds go to CARE. You never know what you might end up with. I got a VCR and a battery fill-up jug. Good fun, and we raised several hundred dollars for CARE.

Here is our group photo.

On Friday, we had a concert in the desert. The Haining Family came and played for us. They are a gospel group from Branson, MO. It was wonderful. We had almost 100 people come for the concert.

Then our last potluck.

I think I gained a few pounds this last week. I love potlucks. I gotta try everything, you know.

We had such a good time this last week.

Early Saturday morning, we said our goodbyes and moved back into the La Posa South Long Term Visitor Area.

We are back with our RV Dreamer friends.
We are the ones on the left, with the little red Jeep. Lee took this pic with his drone. Pretty cool!

Man! We love this life.

Stay tuned....
