A Walk-About

This is our last day at the Wenatchee Confluence State Park. Tomorrow we head back to the Thousand Trails park at Crescent Bar.

We decided to go for a bit of a walk. This park is located at the confluence of the Wenatchee River and the Columbia River. We were only parked a half mile from my work place at Frontier Communications and was able to walk/bike to work while we were here. There is a nice paved trail system here that loops along both sides of the Columbia River along the edges of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. The Apple Capital Loop Trail, as it is called, is the longest loop trail in Washington State and traverses more than ten miles of Columbia River shorelands.

We took off and passed the entrance of the park.

Here we jump on the trail and head towards the Wenatchee River bridge.

This is over the river. There is a natural wildlife wetlands protected area just across the bridge.

That is our rig in the distance through the trees.

This is the start of a trail that goes through the wildlife area.

Donna points to the spot on the map where we are parked.

This trail has many stops with information of the wildlife and habitat in the area.

After strolling around for a bit, it was time to head back.

Back to our rig for our last night here.

Another good day!
