Happy New Year! Ferg's Home Base, Yuma, AZ - January 1, 2018

Happy New Year from the Fergs. We are starting this new year in our winter home Base in Yuma. Time has been just flying by as we keep ourselves busy tinkering around the new place. We have been sorting through the stuff that came with the house, moving stuff from the RV into the house, cleaning the RV and house, and painting the inside of our house.

Donna and I took a drive to Blythe, CA to visit and drop off some Christmas gifts to Donna's son Scott. Melissa was working, but we had a great visit with Scott and his kids, Brock and Mia.

Christmas Eve we attended services at our church, Champion Church. They put on a great production this year of 'Jesus Is Born' After all, He is the reason for the season.

We had a good Christmas. We went to the Cocopah Casino and had their Christmas buffet. Afterward, we played their machines and left $29.00 ahead. Merry Christmas!


Then, the other day, we headed out to meet with fellow RV Dreamer that we first met at a RV-Dreams rally in Harrisburg, Oregon back in 2012. Ruth & Dale and Kyra are also from Washington and we have met up with them in several states throughout the years. This time we met at the Lutes Casino (a pub) in the historic section of old town Yuma. We had a great time catching up and the food was pretty good too!

Then we all went over to the Yuma Territorial Prison and toured the place. Donna and I have been there once before and it was Ruth, Dale, and Kyra's first time. We enjoyed the museum and grounds and learning about the history of the prison.

Loving the weather here in Yuma. Almost 80 degrees today!
