Trailer Village Campground, Grand Canyon NP, AZ - October 3, 2017

Our friends Tim & Bev are heading out toward Yuma. We are heading to the Grand Canyon National Park. It was great travelling with them these last 19 days.

The move from Page, AZ to Trailer Village Campground in the Grand Canyon was 180 miles. Mostly on Highway 89, then west on Highway 64. No problems and the trip was uneventful.
Trailer Village was the only RV park with full hookups. We are doing 4 nights here at $45.00 a night. Plenty of time to see everything we want to see here.

Check in was smooth and we got settled in space B9.

October 1st was my 65th birthday. Yea!

Our time here went pretty fast. One day, we drove the Jeep toward the Desert View Watchtower, the eastern most section of the park.

Then we hit every view point on the way back to the Visitor Center area where our campground was.

Another day, we decided to take the free park shuttle bus to the other areas of the park only accesible by bus. We hit Yaki Point and all the way west to Hermits Rest.

When we were at Yavapai Point and Geology Museum, we were hoping to see our friends Les & Sue who were working there. But they must have been off that day. We have no cell/internet service here. I guess we will catch up with them in Quartzsite.

This is the 8th National Park we have visited this year on our southern trip from Washington to Yuma. It has been great.

Tomorrow, we head into New Mexico towards Albuquerque and the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta!

Fergs .... out!

  1. Glad you enjoyed your visit, question who is your cell and data provider? We have Verizon and had no issue with reception in the same campground. You know, in case I need to really avoid work and change providers😊

    1. We have Verizon. To talk, I had to go out and stand facing a certain way, then it still cut out. Internet at Trailer Village was 1x, or 3G, and took forever to go anywhere. Coverage was pretty good at the Village area and east end of park.
