Crescent Bar TT and On To The Samboree - June 4 - June 9, 2015

Our last evening at the Leavenworth Thousand Trails, we had a BBQ with Karen & Cliff. Even had a marshmallow burning contest over a campfire... Donna won!

The next morning, we were off to Crescent Bar TT along the Columbia River just East of Quincy, WA. We have been here many times. It is a good location for us to visit the Wenatchee area, our old stomping grounds. They were not too busy and we got a nice 50 amp spot facing the river.

While setting up, I decided to poke around inside of our Tailgater. It seems it has been taking it's sweet time syncing up with the 3 Dish Network satellites lately.

I was hoping to find dirt, sand, or a loose connection or something. No such luck. All looked normal. I'll have to keep an eye on it. May have to get it looked at in the future.

The weather here is 100 + degrees now. Our 2 AC units are doing their job though. Good thing.
One day, we got to pick up Oli (our Great Grandson) and keep him for the day. We had a great time. He was soo easy to entertain. We went to a city park, McDonalds for a happy meal lunch, Walmart for a late birthday present toy, then out to our RV to play around.

We had a great time.

Wenatchee High School (my school) had their graduation services and we went to see my Brother, Randi's,  son Cody graduate. Such a great time for these kids.

Sunday, we drove into East Wenatchee to go to our church. The Eastmont Community Church (www.ecfmc.org) has been our church now for about a million years (I can't remember the 'time before'). It was soo enjoyable. The worship music, message, and the good friends we hadn't seem since last year. Our church family is one thing we really do miss alot.

Another day, our grandson Erik (Oli's daddy) came out and spent the day with us. We went down the street and hit a few golf balls.

There is a par 3 chip & putt course here as well as a full 18 hole course. I miss my golf clubs and playing. Maybe I can make room for a set...maybe.

This morning, we headed East to Moses Lake and the Grant County Fairgrounds. We will be taking part in the Washington State Good Sam Samboree here.

We are part of the staff of the Washington State Good Sam organization. I am the webmaster (www.washingtonstategoodsams.com), and Donna is the seamstress, sewing everyone's patches on their vests. There are lots of vest wearing folks here, loaded with patches and pins.

We will be here 5 days.

Donna has still been following me in the Jeep when we move. Poulsbo RV has delayed the install of our towing base plate twice. While we were in Wenatchee, I stopped by A's RV and got a quote. The owners are actually relatives of mine (on my Aunt's side) and a great bunch of Christian folks. I now have made an appointment to have the work done by them....for $250.00 less too.

Cool!

Stay tuned.....

  1. Hey Allan - we had the same issue with the Tail Gator. We were told by a shop in Quartzsite that if you boondock a lot and miss the nightly sync up for long periods of time due to not being connected to power, it can really cause an issue with the Tailgator. Dale eventually used TV4RV.com to get a new Dish set up after months of trying to make the Tailgator work. Our decision was made after the Tailgator "misbehaved" during the NFL playoffs!!

Looking forward to seeing you and Donna in mid-June!
