Our last night at Buckskin Mountain State Park, we traveled to Lake Havasu
City with Ruth & Dale and had dinner at the Mudshark Brewery. It was a good
evening. Lots of food, brews, and conversation.
We packed up Saturday and while at the dumping station, (????) said our 'see ya laters' with hugs and handshakes.
We then headed south on AZ Hwy 95, 47 miles, to our boondocking site.
2.3 miles in on Plamosa Road, was our spot. We are attending an Escapees BOF Rally. BOF stands for 'birds of a feather'. We are with the Christian Fellowship BOF. We picked a real nice site.
There must be around 13 rigs here.
We all gathered together for a potluck and campfire that night, and for church in
the desert Sunday morning. It was very nice. Our first time here, and everyone
made us feel very welcome. We are all one big happy family.
Here is a cactus I discovered nearby.
Had to do the 'photo op' thing.
Headed into Q after church. Our first time here. I walked Donna's legs off. Oh
well, it's good therapy. Lots to see, lots of junk too. We just looked today.
Our solar setup is working like a charm. After recording the Seahawks vs Saints
game last night, and watching half of it this morning, and 3 cups of coffee
(keurig), and charging 2 cell phones and 1 Ipad, our batteries state of charge
was down to 82 percent. By 2PM, they were back to 100 percent.
Day 1 of 12 complete.
And ...hey... it's like Summer down here!
