Now that we checked out Pilot Knob, we moved on to Ogilby Road BLM. Only 10 miles away, we drove around looking at this area. There are lots of space here, no services, but the views are great.
We found a nice spot.
The Ocotillos were really green and healthy here. This is our best boondocking spot to date. Only down side, too far for water and dumping. Since we had the long term LTVA permit, we will head on to Q today. We will be back here again, I'm sure.
Last night, we watched the Super Bowl. Good game!
This morning, after a great sunrise,
I went for a walk and took more pictures of the area.
Cute little guy.
Old gold mine.
We are in the center of this pic.
We are ready be be parked for a while.
Q, here we come!
The travels and adventures of the Ferguson's (Allen & Donna) as we travel this wonderful country of ours, living full-time in our RV. This is our daily journal, a look into where we are, what we're doing, and where we have been.

Pilot Knob BLM LTVA - Felicity, CA - February 5, 2017
We said our goodbyes, and thanked them for the moochdock opportunity.
And we were off down the road. We stopped off at the Copper Mountain RV Park in Tacna, AZ where my Sister, Karen, was working and said Hi. Then on to Pilot Knob.
Pilot Knob is a BLM LTVA in Felicity, CA, just a few miles west of Yuma. Here are some pictures.
The Chevron station (Exit 164 off I-8). Can you believe the gas prices? Eight miles away in Yuma, AZ, you can get gas for $1.99.
Dumpsters is all they have here. You can dump tanks and get water at the Chevron station.
There we are!
We were just going to do 2 days here to see what this place was like. We do like it and will be back again.
While here, we drove east to El Centro and hit the Costco, Walmart, and Lowes. Since we were so close, we also drove through Niland, CA and the Slabs. Niland was a total dump, as well as the Slabs. Not a place we want to do any boondocking at. But we did enjoy checking out Salvation Mountain there.
Today, we will move on to another stop on the way back to Quartzsite.
And watch the Super Bowl, of course.
Go Falcons!!

Moochdocking - Tucson, AZ - February 3, 2017
Yep, we are moochdockers. After we arrived at the Casino Del Sol Wednesday, we recieved a phone call from good friends Tom & Cheryl. Originally from Minnesota and now full timers, they are close by us here in Tucson. Come to find out, they bought a place here just west of Tucson, less than 10 miles from us. They invited us to come see, and stay on their property. Cool beans!
So around noon on Tuesday, we lifted jacks and headed over to their place. We did buzz by Snyder Hill BLM area to check the place out. It is small and very crowded. That's ok. We have some friends just down the road.
Tom & Cheryl bought the place late last year. Two and a half acres, a nice two car garage/shop, and a 14 x 70 manufactured home.
Tom is very talented and has been working hard to get the place in shape. A new roof on the garage, new plumbing under the house, flooring, some windows and doors, just a lot of improvements. The place looks great!
And he has room and hookups for 4 RVs. Is that pretty cool or what! We parked out back by their motorhome.
I didn't hook up to anything because we didn't need any hookups, and we were just going to be here one night and have to head on down the road. But we did get to sit around and do some catching up and sharing road stories and some good 'secret' spots to camp.
Thanks Tom for the great hospitality, I'm sure we will be back again. There is still much we want to see in this area.
Off to visit my sister and do some more boondocking.

Dream Catcher RV Park to Casino del Sol - Tucson, AZ - February 1, 2017
We haven't heard from Donna's doctor as far as them making an appointment for her, so we left. I guess we will be back sometime, we are just not holding our breath.
So I took some pictures of the Dream Catcher RV Park.
Like I said, it really is just a gravel parking area, with hookups.
Today we packed up and moved on. Last night was the first night I didn't unhook our water. It didn't get below freezing.
222 miles later, we pulled into the Casino del Sol just a bit west of Tucson. We have been here several times before and it is a great stopping spot.
Tomorrow, we are going somewhere special!
