Our time at Rainbow's End came to an end. During our week here, we each had doctor appointments, I got both the RV and Jeep inspected ($7.00 each), and the RV liscensed ($226) for another year. I will have to do the Jeep via mail order from Washington in August.
On Sunday, the 28th, we lifted jacks and moved on back the 61 miles, to the Lake Conroe Thousand Trails park. We have a nice, choice spot this time. We are overlooking the Catfish Cove (Pond).
We are all set to stay here for 2 weeks, but when ever we get the hankering to migrate north, we will cut our stay short. Mean while, it's mini golf everyday. My best so far is a 41. Oh Yea!
We have been geocaching a bit while we are in Texas. The latest trip was to Lake Livingston State Park, where there were 19 caches just waiting for us. Even though there were lots of 'muggles' about, and the fact that almost all the caches were wet or soggy, we had a great time.
Here is Donna looking for one off the walkway, hanging by a string, into the lake.
Another one atop this lookout tower overlooking the lake.
And since we are so close to 'cajun' country, I whipped up a batch of Jambalaya.
Yumm bo!
