Wenatchee River County Park - Nice!

After 3 days at Silverline Resort by Winthrop, we took off and headed for the Wenatchee Countty River Park. It was a good 102 mile drive. Still had good weather, just a bit of wind but no problems.

We arrived at 3 in the afternoon.  This is one of the nicest and cleanest parks we have been to so far.

They put us in site # 7 and said this is one of the best locations. We believe it. Only had a couple of rigs close by. Overall, the place was pretty empty.

We were beside the Wenatchee River. It was a little windy and we had hoped to try our luck fishing while we were there, but did not get around to it.

I bet there were fish in there.

Here is a few shots around the park.

We will stay here again before we hit the road on Sept 4th.

Silverline RV Resort - Fishin' Time

We are heading to Silverline RV Resort to go fishing on opening day. We will be with 9 other RVs that belong to the Appleland Sams chapter of the Good Sam Club. We do this outing every year.

As we were packing our rig after 3 weeks at Crescent Bar, I have been thinking of a way to carry a scooter or small motorcycle on the truck along with the 5th wheel. I set one of our bikes ontop of the aux. fuel tank, just behind the cab. Has anyone seen a bike carried this way? Will it work (using ramps)? Here are some pics.

We shall see....

After 125 miles, we made it to Silverline RV Resort.

We got a great place looking at the Pearrygin Lake. Weather was perfect. We parked right next to my Brother Jim and his wife Eileen in their motorhome.

Donna and I took a little walk around the park.  Here is the dock we will be fishing off of.

This is a nice clean park.

Here is the office. They have a mini store inside.

The mountains were beautiful this time of year.

We walked around the mini-golf course.

More shots around the park.

Here is my brother Jim at his RV.

Getting our fishing gear ready. We will be on the docks at daylight.

Donna and I took a drive into Winthrop. This is a western themed tourist town.

We found a candy shop.

They were making fudge the old fashioned way.

 Cool!

Here is the Old Schoolhouse Brewery. Good stuff!

The Emporium. An old mercantile store. They have everything.

Randi and Cody showed up. We invited them to stay with us and partake in some good fishing.

We headed up to do the mini-golf course....I won!! :)

The guys headed up the road to a shooting range about 2 miles up the road. The girls stayed home and visited with the other park folks. Jim had his gun and I have my Taurus PT209 Slim 9mm.

We went through a box of ammo. It was fun.

That evening we all sat around the campfire.

Cody brought his Duck Commander (duck call).

Donna loves burning marshmallows.

Bright and early...it was fishing time. Beautiful weather. And the fish were biting too.

Jim got his limit...five.

Eileen caught... three.

Donna and I each got one....I had the bigger one.

Randi got one and Cody caught four.

Since Randi and Cody had such good luck with my power bait, I suggested he could clean our 2 fish when he did theirs. He agreed...good boy.

Had a very good weekend.

Now off to the Wenatchee River County Park.
