Shaking the Jello - Foothill Village Resort, Yuma, AZ - March 28, 2022

 Time for an update. Lots of changes with our plans. We did leave Emerald Cove Resort after our week there. We checked into Araby Acres for another 2 week stay.

We met our friends Patti & Carl there and spent a little time with them.

Donna decided to fly up to Washington and visit with our daughter Kim & family. She will be helping out with the granddaughters and I will be driving up later with our son Tim, and a big Uhaul. She got her bags packed, with a little help from Lucy.

And we even had some time for a night out.

And off she went.

Even the RV move to Foothill Village (by myself) went pretty smooth.

So, with fuel prices going nuts, I started thinking again....

It is getting hot this time of year, Many folks have already left.

What's the hurry moving all our stuff (the mini-storage) up to Washington? The housing market still looks bleak. The Uhaul & fuel for it would be around $1500.00. So... I decided to change plans again. I cancelled Tim's airline ticket (and even got my airline miles back). Cancelled the Uhaul. Re-arranged a few campground reservations. And just like that, I am ready for a solo drive north. 

Right now I am waiting for my truck to be repaired at the Chevy Dealership. The engine code says it probably is a stuck thermostat. Getting the use out of my extended warranty. As soon as I get the truck back, I will head north. Gonna miss the cool sun-rises we have been getting lately.

Happy Birthday To My Wonderful Wife - Emerald Cove Resort, Earp, CA - March 4, 2022

 Today is Donna's birthday. She is getting almost as old as I am. I am taking her out for a nice game of mini-golf here at the resort, then I will be cooking  us a nice Ribeye steak diner this evening.

How time flies when you're having fun. We have celebrated 49 of her birthdays together!

After 21 days in the Yuma RV park, we are now currently at Emerald Cove Resort in Earp, CA. It is just across the Colorado River from Parker, AZ. A really nice park right on the river. 

There are many birds here. Lucy Ann is worn out from running window to window.

This place has 800 sites and lots of amenities. It is an RPI park and we are paying $91.00 for a HFU site for a week. We are in row 2, pretty close to the river. You have to be a member of Colorado River Adventures (CRA) to get in row 1, right on the river. Perfect for us. We have 30 amps here and we are running just one of our air conditioners. It is working just fine during these 87 degree sunny days. It is nice to mix it up and be away from the city for awhile.

The area is pretty lacking in bandwidth here. Our Verizon internet is pretty sketchy, and the park has a pretty good WiFi. Both of those puke out between 9 Am and 7 PM. Phone service is good and the river is nice and cold. A great place to be.
