Florida RV Supershow - Sumter Oaks RV Park - Bushnell, FL - January 21, 2023

We are at the Sumter Oaks RV Park, an Escapee RV park. It was a really easy 49 mile drive from Crystal River. It is nice to have a short move once in a while.

Here is some pictures of this park.

The folks at the office are really nice.

Cute street signs.

The park was pretty filled up.

A swamp right next to the park.

Kinda spooky looking.

But it has a special kind of beauty.

Oak trees covered with Spanish Moss everywhere.

A large recreation hall.

And here we are.

We have now come through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and now Florida along the Gulf, and haven't seen any gators yet. But here in the park, I did see a little reptile. Not a gator, but maybe a relative.

Friday,  we went to the Florida RV Supershow in Tampa Bay. This is the largest RV show in America. We follow several RV Vloggers and besides seeing all the latest and greatest RVs, we met up with some friends and some of the Youtube'ers we follow.

The big rigs!!

On sale too!

The vendor area is much like the Quartzsite big tent.

Every brand of RVs was here.

The 'guts' of the big rigs.

We met up with fellow Christian Fellowship friends, Patti & Carl.

Dustin & Leslie from Wayward Waggs on You Tube.

It was a long day, but fun!

Donna says ... Happy Valentine's Day!!

Home of the Manatees - Crystal Isles RV Resort - Crystal River, FL - January 15, 2023

Our next drive was 120 miles. We crossed the Suwanee (Swanee) River, like in the song, which is the Florida state song,

and arrived in Crystal River, FL. We are going to spend the next 9 days at Crystal Isles RV Resort. Here are some pictures of the park.

There are travelling RVers mixed in with the annual leased sites.

Many annual leased sites with big car & RV covers.

Haven't seen any gators yet...

They have a nice pool.

And here we are.

This area had canals and waterways everywhere. They call Crystal River the Manatee capital of the world. There are lots of warm water springs and the manatees just love it here. We went and visited Three Sisters Springs where they have a refuge for the Sea Cows (Manatees). We walked the trails and waterways and took lots of pictures.

Walking trails around the springs.

A really beautiful area.

Spanish moss is everywhere.

They love it here.

Outside the 'protective area' you can kayak or swim with the manatees.

Trees are loaded with Spanish moss.

Then we headed over to the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.

Very informative.

Heading to another Escapees park next Wednesday.
