Sully Creek Recreation Area, Medora, North Dakota August 4-6, 2014

Only a 189 mile move day today. East on I-94 and into North Dakota.

I have been to all the US states except Alaska and North Dakota. Now only Alaska is left. In our RV travels, we have to spend at least one night in our RV in that state to count it. With North Dakota now, we have made it through 8 states.

Just 27 miles into ND, we stopped at Medora and checked out the Sully Creek Rec Area. They call it a State Park. It is a primitive camping area for tents some RVs and horses. Perfect.

We paid $30.00 for two nights. $10.00 per night for camping and $5.00 per day for a 'Day Pass'. No hookups, but lots of space, beauty and quiet.

Donna had the honors of putting North Dakota on our 'States Visited' map.

The next day, we checked out Medora.

Then we went into the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

We watched the movie at the visitor center and checked out Teddy's cabin out back.

Donna got her passport book stamped.

Then the 36 mile drive through the park.

We saw wild horses, bison, prairie dogs, deer, and cool rocks and landscapes.

The painted desert.

And we hiked along the Buck Trail to get some awesome views.

A good couple of days.
