We shook the jello. Sunday the 3rd, we were going to move to Antelope Island State Park. We even had reservations for 4 days there. But since the temps were going to be about 97 degrees, we opted to cancel the reservations and stay put here at the Idaho Elks lodge (for 10 bucks a night) and take advantage of a 50 amp electrical hook up. We had paid $59.00 for Antelpoe Island, but they did give us $31.00 back. Sometimes making reservations just doesn't work out. Tomorrow, we lift jacks and head to the Elks lodge in Provo, UT. It is first-come-first-served for their full hookup sites. We will see how that goes.
In the mean time, while we have been here, we celebrated our 4th year anniversary on the road. I posted a blog entry on that earlier. I was just looking at our past travels and saw that since we hit the roar on September 5, 2013, we have travelled 34,492 miles. Wow!
1st year - 9,252
2nd year - 8,830
3rd year - 7,802
4th year - 8,610
Amazing!
When we sold our house in July 2012, we moved into our 32 foot Camio fifth wheel. We changed into a 38 foot Big Horn fifth wheel in October 2012 and were in it when we headed out. Then March 2015, we made the change to a class A motorhome. What a journey! I see fun things happening in year 5.
Since we prolonged our stay here in Idaho Falls, we have been going downtown everyday and doing the Idaho Falls River Walk.
They sure have fixed up the river front really nice. It is a pretty popular place and there are always a lot of people enjoying the trails.
Some more pictures of the River walk.
Fergs .... out!
We've always blasted through Idaho Falls and every time we say...one day we've got to check this place out. Thanks for the tour and safe travels!
