Wednesday was moving day. The temps were going to hit the 90s, and Santa Ana winds were expected. So we got packed up, lifted jacks and were on the road by 7:30 AM. We made it up and out the little, narrow twisty entrance road with no problems. I would really hate to meet another RV on this road.
South on Highway 101 to Ventura, then east to Interstate 5 on Highway 126. Almost to I-5, and here came the Santa Ana winds. It was a little bit of white knuckle driving for a bit. After a short time on I-5, we headed east on Highway 14 just north of the San Gabriel mountains. A few ups and downs, and we arrived at our next Thousand Trails park, Soledad Canyon.
It was a 129 mile day. Another TT park to check off our bucket list.
We planned on two nights here, and on our free day, we thought about heading into the big city to Disneyland, or Universal Studios (and see the new Harry Potter stuff). But we decided to just chill, relax and enjoy the down time. Donna did laundry and I washed the RV.
And here is the trip around this park...
The check in and office.
Entrance gate.
Family lodge.
A nice park setting.
Behind the Family Lodge.
Family pool area.
Mini golf!!
The Country store.
Family pool.
Adult lodge.
Adult pool and spa.
And here we are. Lots of space here.
We did the mini golf twice. The first day, I was the winner. I shot a 52 to Donna's 66. The next day, a 48 for me, and a 50 for Donna. And no flies at this park!
Moving day tomorrow!
