Rancho Oso TT, Santa Barbara, CA - October 18, 2016

Our first stop while here, was to go visit Ventura, CA and see what the Channel Islands National Park was like. It was about 54 miles away and since it was a Monday, the traffic down Highway 101 wasn't bad at all. We found the Channel Islands NP visitor center and spent some time there.

They had a lot of info on the ecology of the five different islands that make up the park. We toyed with the idea of taking a cruise out to see the islands up close, but reservations were all taken for the time we had here. But the visitor center had some pretty cool exibits on the plants, amimals, and eco-systems out there.

Then we wandered around the marina and checked out all the various ships and boats. What a variety. Looks like lots of fun.

We also spent time just sitting on the jetty rocks and listening and watching the ocean waves. The weather was perfect. We even caught some Pokemon! Go monsters!

After the beach area, we cruised into old town Ventura to wander around this historic area. We ended up at the Anacapa Brewing Company for lunch. This place was rated number 1 in this area. And it was good!

Our last day here, we just did some house cleaning, and mini golf.

We fought off the nasty little black flies while Donna beat the socks off me. For the 9 holes, she shot a 21 and I had a 31.... I blame the flies!

Tomorrow is moving day again. We will be skirting around the busy LA metro area. Looking forward to a fly free RV park.
