We had fun at the Escapees WARE Rally. I think we will do it again next year. Here is one last picture of us at the farewell Luau dinner & show.
After hitting the dump station at the fairgrounds, we drove up the road 30 miles to Oroville, CA and parked at Larry & Barb's house.
We were able to just spend one night here, but did get to spend some time with Donna's brothers.
Garry, Donna, and Camio
Larry
We left Oroville at 2 PM and drove north 100 miles to Redding, CA. Here we made our $25.00 donation to park here for one night.
Pretty nice place. We will be back to play along the bike trails next year.
Our spot for the night
Saturday, we got en early start. We dumped our grey tank and drove northward on Interstate 5.
Into the beautiful mountains.
Mount Shasta
At Weed, we headed north on Highway 97 and into Oregon. Our destination is the Bend/Sunriver Thousand Trails park.
Since we still don't have a toad, we figure we will be back in the Fall. I want to spend some time in Bend, visit Crater Lake NP, and the Lava Land Rec Areas.
After a long day of driving (260 miles), we arrived at the park.
And checked in.
Here is our spot for the next couple of days.
This is not your typical Thousand Trails park. It is more like a State Park. Very wooded.
Good separation between sites
And each site is really big.
A big place. 283 sites. And your typical TT amenities.
They have cabins and Yurts.
There is outdoor activities like horseshoes, golf (Frisbee & mini) & courts.
A large lodge (with good WiFi).
3 pools and hot tub - nice
Walking trails
And a cool area they call Town Square
Pretty rustic and has a well stocked general store, rec room, library, café, and a gathering area for get togethers.
We could spend some time here, enjoying the park and the surrounding area.
Even wildlife.
We saw 9 deer last night next to our site.
Here is our wildlife. Rumble Bunny & Tinker Belle.
Entering Washington State tomorrow.
Beautiful park. Always nice to see family.
