Araby Acres RV Resort, Yuma, AZ - December 20, 2021

We are staying at Araby Acres RV Resort in Yuma. This is not a bad park at all. Plenty of room, activities, and a couple of nice pools. Not to mention the price. Free with our Thousand Trails Collection membership. Here is a few photos of the park.

Our time here at Araby Acres will be 2 weeks, and we will be here during Christmas. We have finished our Christmas shopping today, 5 days before Christmas. We used mostly Amazon and that has worked out just fine so far. We did a few gifts for each other this tear, but for us, the real meaning of the season is to celebrate our Savior's birth. But... Donna (and I) did get a real nice gift this year. A new family member. And furry too!

Meet Lucy. The Fergs new RV cat.

Donna will (probably) not be going out to work at the fire camps this coming year. This means we are able to have a fur baby again. We are, and have always been , cat people. She is working out nicely. She has explored the whole house. It didn't take long, and she approves. Home sweet home!

I have been working on the floor lately. I drilled and injected epoxy (with dowels) .

What a job, but it is gonna look awesome!

And the floor is now rock solid again. We even bought new laminate floor planks to put down from Sam's Club.

I was going to go to our mini storage and pick up my table saw, and jig saw, but I thought that the noise would be too loud at this RV park. So I will start laying the new floor in about a week, while we are boondocking out at Pilot Knob BLM area.

To all our friends and family...Have a Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year.

  1. Yikes…that floor looks like a lot of work on the knees! Glad to hear the fix is working out for you. Should look great with your choice of flooring when complete.
Merry Christmas and all the best in 2022!
