We were at the Tall Chief RV Campground 5 days. We were going to move the RV northward to Blaine (by the Canadian boarder) after La Conner, but Kim was coming from Phoenix to visit. We changed our plans and decided to stay at Tall Chief and Thunderbird while they were here.
While we were at La Conner, we purchased a 27 gallon Blue Boy and macerator poop pump so we would not have to move the RV just to dump our tanks. We did use it and it worked out perfectly. I pumped the 'stuff' up into the tank on the bed of my truck, and then dumped it at the dump station. Beats having to move the RV when the 'burp' comes.
While at Tall Chief the 5 days, Kim & Chris showed up, and we got to watch Ally & Jessie for a little while at our campground. Ally and I had a great time at the playground and coloring.
Then we headed over to Tim's for Ally's big 3rd birthday party.
It was getting pretty hot out, so they set up a little swimming pool. Chase (Chris's son) was over as well. Here is Chase, Ally, and Ryker in the pool.
Tim showing Ally how to make some music.
Then comes the birthday cake.
Kim & Jessie enjoying the cake too.
Birthday present opening time.
We even had a piƱata' to beat on.
It was a really good time. Ally had a great time and we all enjoyed a wonderful day.
On the 24th, we packed her up and made a short 35 mile move back to the Thunderbird RV Campground. After 5 days at Tall Chief, we will be here for 3 days before we head across the mountains into Central Washington.
During the 3 days at Thunderbird, we got to meet up with fellow RVer's Bill Joyce and Diane Melde, who we met back in 2012 when we first started our full timing adventures. Always nice to catch up.
The Fergs out .......
Looks like you had a great time with the family. So nice to see people getting out and about again!
