So here is what we have been up to lately...
RV Maintenance - I had a little leaky pressure overflow valve on our hot water heater. It was pretty corroded.
It was a pretty easy out, easy in job... and no more leaks!
Then our fifth wheel door latch was coming apart, and hard to lock, so I replaced the door lock/latch assembly.
And our front landing gear is having problems raising the rig. It will go down, but just clicks when trying to raise it up. I found the manual crank and figured that out ..thank goodness. I bought a new landing leg gearbox and will get that installed soon.
Truck Maintenance - I changed the oil and filter. Ten quarts! Only made a ... little ... mess. And then I changed out the fuel filter too.
I should be good for about 5,000 miles or so now.
While on that side of the mountains, we spent time with Tim & Shannon, and went to see Roman & Ryker play baseball.
We also had a nice Mother's Day dinner with them. Tim cooked Flank steak & Shrimp. Yum!
From the Thousand Trails RV park in Mount Vernon, We headed to the Crescent Bar Thousand Trails park near Quincy. On the way there, I dropped Donna off at Kim's house. Kim & Chris are going to be moving to San Diego in the middle of next month and Donna was going to help Kim get ready for a big yard sale. So we are going to be heading South with then to help them out in the big move. And take care of Ally too.
I parked the rig in a nice spot at Crescent Bar.
Our Great Grandson, Ollie came to spend the night with us one night. He is really getting big, 7 years old now.
Here is a picture he drew. Pretty cool huh? Kinda Gnomeish.
I went into Wenatchee and visited my brother Jim , and an old phone company co-worker, Joe. Donna & I also visited her brother Roy, and his wife Connie. It was good to do some catching up.
I also did some hiking in Wenatchee. Saddlerock is a Wenatchee landmark. Every kid has climbed up there sometime in their days in Wenatchee. I did it again. It had been about 10 years since I climbed it.
Oh yeah, I trimmed up a few hairs.
After 8 days there, We headed towards Yakima. This time we are staying at the Roza Recreation Area, a BLM campground. $7.50 a night with the access pass.
On the way there.
We were the only ones here. There are 6 RV camping site here. A lot of boaters/fishermen everyday. Other camers finally showed up Thursday before Memorial Day weekend.
We are just a few miles from Kim's house and the yard sales are doing good. We also go play Pokemon with them, and vist the parks to let Ally play, and feed the geese.
Kim & Chris are taking off in a couple of days to Vegas for a mini vacation and then on to San Diego to do some house hunting. Donna and I will be house sitting and watching Ally while they are gone. When they come back, we will know more about when we will head south with them to help out.
Later..
The Fergs out .......
Thanks you just reminded me of all the tasks I have been overlooking on the rig and truck. I have a waterline that needs clamping, a latch that needs fixing, a couple lights that are going wonky and yes, a fuel filter that needs changing. Ugh!
