The southward migration has begun. Time to get the cats inside and take down their 'cat box', pack her up, and lift jacks.
We pulled out of Hood Park at 8:30 AM for our 219 mile travel day leaving Washington till next spring.
North on Highway 395, a great 4 lane smooth divided highway with a 70 mile per hour speed limit. I usually cruise at about 63-65 MPH. Not much traffic and we are glad to get an early start today, the temps were to get up to 97.
At Ritzville, we jumped on Interstate 90 East for the remainder of the trip.
Through Spokane,
and into Idaho.
We stopped in Post Falls, ID to gas up at $2.55 a gallon. We just got 6.3 mpg on this last tank of gas, not too bad.
We arrived at the Wallace RV Park in Wallace, ID about 12:30 PM. A good stopping point for a couple of days.
There is a brew pub, the City Limits Brew Pub is located next to the check-in station here at the park. The RV park owns and operates both businesses. We will definitely check the pub out while we are here.
And here we are. $30.00 a night for FHU, 30 amp.
After getting all setup and the AC turned on, I did a little walk-about the town. Lots of neat touristy stuff here.
What a cool bike trail. We got to get some more bikes again!
Wallace is located in a forested valley. Lots of stairs.
Silver mining is the main theme here.
We could spend a few more days here, but this trip, we had only planned for a 2 day stop.
Fergs .... out!
The people who run the Trail of the Hiawathas rent bikes.
