Review - Mount Vernon RV Campground - Bow, WA - May 7 - May 10, 2017

This Thousand Trails park is located just off Interstate 5, Exit 236, down the road from the Skagit Casino. From the exit, it is about a half mile east on Bow Hill Road, and a left at the stop light towards the Skagit Casino.

The road goes around the casino parking lot.

Then another half mile straight shot to the park.

The Welcome Center/Check-in area.

Just pass the security gate,

is the mini golf,

and the Lodge, Store, and pool.

The A and E sections are closed at this time for electrical upgrades. They are pulling new wire in to provide 50 amp service, These areas have only 14 sewer hookups in the 120 sites. The whole park has 227 sites with electrical and water, and only 16 of these sites have a sewer connection.

As you travel up the hill,

you pass some rental cabins and yurts.

even a Hobbit house.

The closed A & E section.

Here are some of the sites here.

The 'top' of the hill.

The roads around the park are not bad. There are lots of trees, but also some open spots where there is Sat TV reception. Verizon cell/internet is good throughout the park. There are many of the sites taken up by long term 'annuals', and also the 'RV homeless' folks.

There was only about 4 open sites for us to choose from when we got here, but we did find a great spot. I think this one used to be an 'annual' site.

Besides the elecrical upgrades being done, they are busy trimming bushes, weed eating, and laying down gravel in some sites. The park is petty clean. Everything will be open soon.

This is a good park and we will be back to this one.
