Good Sam Rally - Lynden, WA - May 7, 2017

We spent the last 3 days in Lynden, WA, at the Washington State Fairgrounds, attending the 'Hands Across the Border' Good Sam Rally. The Canadian Good Sams come and campout with the WA State Good Sams. Lots of activities, games, socializing, and food! We got parked at the fairgrounds and had 50 amp service and water.

We parked right next to my brother, Jim (and Eileen).

Lynden is a nice place to visit. It has a Dutch/Holland theme around town, with windmills and cool shops. And the fairground is pretty nice too.

We have been to this rally several times in the past. We missed last year because we were workkamping at Crescent Bar.

Lots of stuff going on while we were here. It did rain 1 day.

Bean bag baseball

Meetings and entertainment

raffles and craft sales

Jim & Eileen run the Good Sam store

Donna had a table during the craft sale and sold a bunch of the stuff she made

The little woman and I.

We did go out a couple of times. Once to the NutHouse Grill for dinner and drinks. This was like a 'Roadhouse' where you get free peanuts and the shells were all over the floor. Drinks were good too.

Another day, we went with Jim & Eieen to Overflow Taps in Lynden, a new brewpub. It was good also.

This morning, we packed up and said our goodbyes, and moved on down the road. Just 40 miles and we stopped at another Thousand Trails park, Mount Vernon RV Campground. We are all set up here for the next 3 days.

A really nice 30 amp and water spot. Plenty of privacy, and even found a hole in the trees to bring in our satelite TV.

Till next time...

Fergs .... out!
