A Trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Acton, CA - November 4, 2021

The time had finally come. We have had this trip planned for some time now. We are to meet up with our son Tim & family for a couple of days at Disneyland. Our RV park is just 77 miles from Anaheim and the parks.

We packed our bags, and left our RV park Monday morning at 5:30. We had already purchased our tickets, 2 all day tickets to Disneyland, 2 all day tickets to California Adventures, 2 days of parking in the Toy Story Disney parking Lot, and 2 nights at the Anaheim Maingate Inn. We had to use the Toy Story parking lot because that is where 'oversize' vehicles can park (for $10 more).

The drive through Los Angeles, during rush hour, really wasn't all that bad. There were areas of slow, or stop & go traffic. Folks sure drive crazy down here. Especially the motorcycles guy who 'white line' it.

We exited Interstate 5 and pulled right into our Disney parking lot. We were the second 'oversize' vehicle to park in the special area. Then a short tram ride, and we were in Disneyland. Donna and I quickly went through 7 of the major attractions while the wait times were 5 to 20 minutes. It really helps when you get to the park when it opens. Then our son Tim & family arrived. We all did a few more things together, and then at 2 PM, Donna and I had to get our truck and head to the Hotel, check in, and hopefully find a parking place we can fit into. And it all worked out perfectly. We found a great parking spot we fit into,

got checked in, and walked back about a mile to Disneyland. We spent the rest of that day doing things with Tim, Shannon, and the boys. Then dinner at Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney.

Pictures from the first day.

Donna and I walked back to our Hotel (another mile). Our legs are starting to really feel it by now. And had a nice evening.

Day 2 we walked to Downtown Disney and had breakfast at Starbucks. Then met the kids at California Adventures. This day went fast. It was one ride after another. Roman & Ryker had a blast, as did we all. It was around 3 PM when we were done for. We can really feel all our legs have been doing these last 2 days. We said our goodbyes, and walked the last mile back to the hotel. Another good evening.

After 2 wonderful action packed days, it was time to hit the freeways back to the RV park. We jumped onto Interstate 5 at 7 AM. Yes, traffic sucked, and 2 hours later, we were back at the RV. We had such a great time. Pictures from day 2.

Glad we had the opportunity to see our grandsons enjoy themselves during this little vacation. Tickets were $486.00, Hotel was $180.06, food was really expensive (a $16 margarita) (or two) , for a total vacation trip of $868.99. Money well spent. Once in a lifetime experience. Love our family.

Now let the legs loosen up and heal from all the walking.

Tomorrow, we head to Palm Springs.

The Fergs out .......
