So around noon on Tuesday, we lifted jacks and headed over to their place. We did buzz by Snyder Hill BLM area to check the place out. It is small and very crowded. That's ok. We have some friends just down the road.
Tom & Cheryl bought the place late last year. Two and a half acres, a nice two car garage/shop, and a 14 x 70 manufactured home.
Tom is very talented and has been working hard to get the place in shape. A new roof on the garage, new plumbing under the house, flooring, some windows and doors, just a lot of improvements. The place looks great!
And he has room and hookups for 4 RVs. Is that pretty cool or what! We parked out back by their motorhome.
I didn't hook up to anything because we didn't need any hookups, and we were just going to be here one night and have to head on down the road. But we did get to sit around and do some catching up and sharing road stories and some good 'secret' spots to camp.
Thanks Tom for the great hospitality, I'm sure we will be back again. There is still much we want to see in this area.
Off to visit my sister and do some more boondocking.
We just missed you! We spent last night at Snyder Hills and you are right about it being crowded. Tonight we are at Double J's dry camping but the think we are headed back to Snyder Hills for a few days again. We will be here for a couple weeks spending time with our son.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we will see you this summer. We will be out east ourselves.
