Spring Cleaning

We have had rain and wind for the last few days. The temps have only gotten in the 50s. So this Sunday, the wind stopped, the sun came out and so did we.

Our big window that over-looks the Columbia River was pretty dirty and today was the day to rectify that issue. I put a splitter on out water faucet and got the green hose out. I manned the bucket and 'brush-on-a-pole' and Donna rinsed and dried.

We are not suppose to wash rigs here, but it had to be done. :) We just washed the end facing the river. Much, much better.

There are some jet fighter planes that fly down our valley every day. They fly out of Fairchild AFB and some days we see 5 or 6 go by. They are A6 Intruder jets I think. I just happen to have my camera out today, and still almost missed it. They are already past you when you hear the roaring of the engines.

Next we attacked the basement. A little better organization never hurts. I also did my monthly generator run.

We even took the sticky notes off of all the cabinets inside the rig. I think we have figured out the right location for all the stuff we use the most.

Can't wait for retirement. 49 days today.  Oh Yea!!

Back To Crescent Bar.

Today we packed up and made the 31 mile trip back to Crescent Bar Resort. I had hoped to stop at a Department Of Transportation weigh station and find out how much our rig weighs. I had already had the truck weighed and wanted to see the combined weights with everything packed up and connected. There were 5 or 6 trucks lined up and waiting, so we drove on. I will get it done sooner or later. It is good to do after hours when they are closed because they have the digital scale read-out aimed out of the window so folks can weigh themselves anytime.

We have a great spot here in the park in #64. The view out of our big window is of the Columbia River. We can't pick-up the park WiFi where we are, but our Verizon Jetpack does the job. we also spend a bit of time in the clubhouse and can then use the WiFi there.

Here is our parking spot this time. We will be here till April 25th.

This will be a good stay.

A Walk-About

This is our last day at the Wenatchee Confluence State Park. Tomorrow we head back to the Thousand Trails park at Crescent Bar.

We decided to go for a bit of a walk. This park is located at the confluence of the Wenatchee River and the Columbia River. We were only parked a half mile from my work place at Frontier Communications and was able to walk/bike to work while we were here. There is a nice paved trail system here that loops along both sides of the Columbia River along the edges of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. The Apple Capital Loop Trail, as it is called, is the longest loop trail in Washington State and traverses more than ten miles of Columbia River shorelands.

We took off and passed the entrance of the park.

Here we jump on the trail and head towards the Wenatchee River bridge.

This is over the river. There is a natural wildlife wetlands protected area just across the bridge.

That is our rig in the distance through the trees.

This is the start of a trail that goes through the wildlife area.

Donna points to the spot on the map where we are parked.

This trail has many stops with information of the wildlife and habitat in the area.

After strolling around for a bit, it was time to head back.

Back to our rig for our last night here.

Another good day!

Easter Weekend

We are having company this Easter weekend. Our daughter Kim is finishing her week with us, and our oldest daughter, Candy, with her friend Josh, along with her son (our Grandson) Chase will spend the weekend with us.

The Wenatchee Confluence State Park is a really nice clean park. And the weather this weekend couldn't have been better. Sunny, clear, and temps in the 70s.

We are set up in a great spot.

Our Gnome (Fergizmo) was happy.

When Candy, Josh and Chase arrived, they set up a tent for themselves.

I think Chase was a bit tired...don't ya think?

These two recliners are what we replaced the factory chairs that came with the rig.

The girls did a great job of preparing the Easter meal. Here is Donna and Candy working in the kitchen.

It wasn't too bad with all six of us inside for the meal.

Then some posing for some pictures.

Donna and me.

Here is Josh, Candy, Donna and Chase.

Our good friends Bruce and Carol even stopped by to visit.

We all went to Easter services at our church (Eastmont Community Free Methodist Church).
Then they all headed out and we were left alone. It was a very good visit. Time to clean house,

Late that afternoon, we visited our other Grandson Erik, and his son Oli. We took some Easter gifts to them. Oli got a play house.  Here is (Great Grandma) Donna playing with Oli.

It was a busy but wonderful weekend.

Now back to relaxing ... in our home on wheels.
