Review - La Conner Campground - La Conner, WA - August 1 - August 7, 2017

This Thousand Trails park is located across the Skagit River from La Conner. Three miles down Snee OOsh Road, on the Swinomish Indian Reservation..

The entrance and welcome center.

There is a nice mini golf located here.

There is a good place to unhook toads as you enter.

The place is pretty wooded. Several camping loops. The map that they give you has the sites marked that will receive satellite TV signals.

They have some nice tent sites, with water views.

There is only one section that has sewer connections, about 60 sites, some cabins too. To get into one of these places, you must get on their waiting list and check each morning at 10 AM to see if there is an  opening.

The park has it's share of 'annual' sites. Mostly in the FHU area, or sites with a nice water view.

There is a nice Family center, trading post, laundry area with a great view of the Skagit Bay. There is WiFi in there, not very speedy, but it is there..
Behind the Family center, along the Skagit Bay beach, I was able to get some Verizon cell service.

No pool, and right now, no spa either.

Nice views of Skagit Bay.

This is the loop we picked. The Salmon Loop.

Our site, #200.

Some more cabins and 'Annual' sites.

The boat launch.

The Adult lodge.

There are several trails around the park.

This is a good park. The area is great, with the town of La Conner and Mount Vernon nearby. I haven't heard any trains go by, but there have been military jets flying around.

Really wish they had better cell/internet here.

We will gladly come back here though.

Thunderbird TT to La Conner TT - August 2, 2017

We were all unhooked and packed up. Ready to leave the Thunderbird and head for the Tulalip Casino for 4 days...ugg...boondocking in the heat. But as I moved the Jeep over to the hookup area by the welcome center, I thought I would check one more time. I have checked everyday to see if we might be able to extend here, but there were no openings. But today, yes! I was able to stay here for 4 more days. Nice.

Candy is staying here with us and we have been enjoying the evenings as it cools off.

KC is on some Thyroid medication and seems to be doing better. The other cats are finally getting used to her too.

Roman & Ryker came over to spend the night with us.

We played at the playground.

Played Pie in the Face game. Oh yeah!

And spent time in the pool.

In the RV were 3 adults, 2 kids, and 3 cats. It sure looked like a war zone for awhile.

Our oldest Grandson, Erik, (Candy's son) came up from Vancouver the other day.

Candy bought a new car and Erik came to get her old one.

August 1st, we moved on up the I5 corridor 60 miles, to another Thousand Trails, La Conner Campground. We are in a nice wooded area with water & electric. We finally have Sat TV again too.

We will spend 6 days here, enjoying the peace and quiet - there is no cell/internet service here. :(

Fergs .... out!
